The Ohio State Buckeyes: The Blog Log →
fuckyeahbuckeyes:
I just wanted to step outside of the ‘three yards and a cloud of dust’ frame of mind for a moment to mention a few other blogs worthy of Buckeye Nation’s undivided attention. I am in no way affiliated with them outside of a common interest, yet they are quickly becoming four of my favorite go-to blogs on the world wide web. Each of them share their love and appreciation for...

SEAGULL BAGS TO OUTFIT THE TED MED CONFERENCE
Columbus based Seagull Bags has been tapped by web based conference center, TED, to provide the “swag” bags for the TED MED conference. Owner Daniel Mckewen mentioned this to me during the iNCEPTION alley cat race and confirmed the deal went down via Facebook chat with yours truly. The order was for a 1000 bags and the elves in the Seagull shop are hard at work to meet this dead...

You’re sitting at the coffee shop copping free wi-fi so you can work on the freelance interactive project that is nearing deadline. A quick glance around the café and you notice everyone else banging away furiously on laptops and sipping caffeinated beverages. Ever consider what those similar looking people were up to? NEW BLUE JACKET
The Cbj have acquired Vinny Prospal to replace Christian Huselius, who is out 4-6 months with a pectoral injury. Prospal’s contract is worth $1.75 mil. for one year, plus bonuses. Great replacement for Huselius and I think is an upgrade!

Interesting take on COTA’s recent initiatives and discussions.
(via captainplanit)
High Street is the main south/north artery of Columbus, so historically public transportation has been synonymous with it’s history. Having used COTA’s bus line, it’s obvious that people who do not own cars or have the means to pay for daily parking need this service....
You Can Have Summer
Am I the only person that can’t wait for Fall and Winter? Layered up clothes and wool socks? Cold air stinging your face as you cycle down High Street to your favorite coffee shop? A chilly, brisk sunrise as you exit your home and greet the day, instantly awake as the wind whips past you on your porch? Coming home after a day of riding in the frigid outdoors and sitting down to a hot meal...

Bike Parking Non-issue Follow up
The blogger, kungfucarrie pointed out to me something I missed in my earlier post. If businesses/property owners want bike racks they have to call and request one from the city. I know this to be true and completely negleted to put this in the original post (because I’m not to bright). I know this is accurate because I witnessed a certain small business owner and her property owner jump...

Methot gets 4 year/12 mill
Hey Jackets fans! Marc Methot has just signed a 4 year/$12 million deal. Sounds like a lot for a 3-4 d-man? He gave up 3 years of UFA and has no NTC or NMC in the contract. Pretty fair deal and shows he really wants to be here!
Sept.12 is the start of camp!!!!

BEST OF THE 'BUS...REDUX
The following list is a map to my favorite places. As the old saying goes “lists are like assholes, everyone has one and most are partial to their own.”. OK, so I updated it! Monthly readers such as Alive and the Other Paper have their own. After many years of following their “Best of…” editions, I was always disappointed that the places I thought were great were...
